good films.
(More blog entries from goldteeth)
I swear, the steam of films we're watching for this festival may never end. I've been getting up at 6:30am all week to get these film watched before I get shipped of to the office for the day.
I'm not naming any names here because we will be accepting this film to the festival and the film maker hasn't been notified yet, but I did see a film on Monday morning that stopped me in my tracks. It's refreshing to see a film like this after seeing SO MANY BAD ONES, even if at times it was a tough one to watch. It covered some pretty distrubing material. I found myself thinking halfway through, this has to be a terrible way to start of a Monday morning. But once the end credits started to roll, it was all worth it. Dispite being a little sick to my stomach, I was glad to have seen it. The film making had shone through the ugliness and it left me feeling like it was an important film to see. And as the Artistic Director of this festival, it's pretty awesome to provide an outlet for you to feel the same way when you see it this fall.
I can dig it.
Way to go. please continue to tell your stories and share you ideas with the Crown Point Festival, we're listening.

is it too late to submit? I would love to submit my film TALES OF TIMES SQUARE to your fest but I dont see any entry info. You can see a teaser clip at TALESOFTIMESSQUARE.COM.
The short doc folows the editor of Screw magazine through the streets and peep shows of 70s-80s Times Square.
Morgan Spurlock invited me to screen the film at his east village fest this summer. If you want to invite me to screen Tales my email is on the site.
I think you would really enjoy the film.
All the best!
