It's no excuse

but I didn't blog last night because I passed out after the amazing Arcade Fire concert.

Before I could head out to Randall's Island, we had our usual staff meeting and its down to the home stretch. I've been working with these people since November, with Chris even earlier.  And yestreday's meeting was spent laughing.  I want to ensure Zac and the whole production team that business was done and we've got info for Monday nights production meeting - but there was so good comic relief that was needed.

I'm going to be brief because I'm still tired, it's 2:38 pm and I haven't eaten anything yet today and someone is trying to fax me a contract - so...

 - Blond Redhead - was hot and incredible. Gonna get me that album.  So hot. HOT. Fan myself hot.

 - LCD Soundsytem: I was born to listen, dance and sing to that music.

 - Arcade Fire: Best water puddle thrash dancing with strangers I have ever witnessed.  My shoes will have to be thrown out but it was worth it.

The thing that resonates through my brain when I look back to last night is Win Butler saying with the utmost sincerest voice: Thank you so much - you guys pay us to do this.

Word.

It's just a note to remember how humbling it is to be an artist. Or as my high school drama teacher drilled into us: It is not our right to perform. It's a privilege.
