Things happen in the middle of the night

(More blog entries from kellykelly)

Like Annabelle Gurwitch joing your Advisory Board.  Very cool.

When we've been looking to reach out to people to be on our Advisory Board, we're tried to target people who have that crossover: who understand that bridge between film, theater and music.

(I get people asking me all the time about, "why FTM?" So much blog space so little time... another entry coming soon...)

Annabelle got her start right here on the stages of the Lower East Side  - at the Henry Street Settlement - and other East Village strongholds like Theater for a New City back in her days post NYU.  You go to her IMDB profile (http://imdb.com/name/nm0348800/) and you clearly see where this woman has gone now and it's an incredible career.  So when you get past the list of all of her acting credits - this I love: writer & director.  (okay, I also love the Space Ghost Coast to Coast.)

I guess, maybe we don't wait for another blog - maybe Annabelle is a great example: there is a flow that happens between these art forms - and a natural transition between the kinds of entertainment we experience on the stage as a performer - up the screen - and then for the performer in a band - there's a visceral response that the audience seems to experience - and that these artists seem to draw from each other for inspiration.

If I can, I'll ask Annabelle about the soundtrack she had in her head for Fired!
