Oliver Butler is the co-artistic director of the Brooklyn- based theater company The Debate Society, with whom he has developed and directed 3 original full-length plays, premiered in New York and toured in America. In New York Mr. Butler has directed The Eaten Heat, The Snow Hen, A Thought About Raya, Seduced, Christmas with the Flamingos, and Sold Out: The Rock Musical. He was the Assistant Artistic Director of The Berkshire Theatre Festival where he directed The Einstein Project and This is our Youth. Mr. Butler has assisted directors including Jo Bonney, John Rando, and Pam Mackinnon. In 2004 and 2005 he was a participating director in Lincoln Center’s Directors Lab.
